Abuja

Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria, located in the center of the country. It was chosen to be the capital in 1976, replacing Lagos, and officially became the capital in 1991. Abuja is known for its well-planned layout, modern architecture, and being the political and administrative center of Nigeria.

The city is divided into two main areas: the Central Area, where most government offices and buildings are located, and the outskirts, where residential buildings and suburbs can be found. Abuja also has a thriving business district with many banks, hotels, and shopping centers.

Despite being a modern city, Abuja also has plenty of green spaces. The famous Aso Rock is a massive granite outcrop that dominates the skyline and can be seen from different parts of the city. Other parks and gardens in Abuja include Millennium Park, Jabi Lake Park, and the National Arboretum.

Due to its central location, Abuja is a transportation hub and has a well-developed infrastructure. The Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport serves Abuja and connects it to other major cities in Africa, Europe, and Asia. The city also has a modern light rail system and many intercity bus stations.

In terms of culture, Abuja is home to many museums, art galleries, and theaters. The National Mosque and the Nigerian National Christian Centre are two notable religious landmarks in the city. Abuja also hosts several annual festivals, including the Abuja Carnival, which celebrates the city's diverse culture and traditions.
