Ambridge

Ambridge is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was incorporated in 1905 and named after the American Bridge Company, which was a steel fabricating plant located in the area. At the time of the 2010 census, the population of Ambridge was 7,050.

Ambridge is known for its rich history in the steel industry, having been home to several steel mills throughout the 20th century. The borough played a significant role in the growth of the American steel industry and was a major contributor to the development of many iconic structures across the country, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Chrysler Building.

Today, Ambridge has transformed into a primarily residential community. It is home to a number of historic sites and landmarks, including the Old Economy Village, a National Historic Landmark that provides a glimpse into the life of the Harmony Society, a religious group that settled in the area in the early 19th century. The borough also hosts several annual events, including the Ambridge Regional Chamber of Commerce's Wine Walk and the Nationality Days Festival, which celebrates the town's ethnic diversity.
