Ardross is a suburb located in the south of the Swan River in Western Australia. It is approximately 10 kilometers south of Perth City and lies within the City of Melville. The suburb has a population of around 4,400 people as per the 2016 Census.
The area was first settled in the late 1800s and was named after a small village in Scotland. The name "Ardross" is Gaelic for "Point of the Promontory". The suburb was developed in the 1950s and 60s, with many of the original homes and gardens preserved today.
Ardross is a popular residential area due to its close proximity to Perth City, as well as its access to public transport and numerous amenities such as shops, restaurants, and schools.
