By air
- Start by booking a flight to Mexico City International Airport, which is the nearest major airport.
- From the airport, you can take a taxi or use public transportation to reach the Central de Autobuses de Oriente (TAPO) bus station in Mexico City.
- At the TAPO bus station, look for buses that are heading to Tlaxcala. There are several bus companies that operate this route, such as ADO or Autobuses Estrella Roja.
- Purchase a ticket for a bus that goes to Tlaxcala. The journey usually takes around 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
- Once you reach Tlaxcala, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Atlangatepec. The distance between Tlaxcala and Atlangatepec is approximately 30 kilometers.
- Alternatively, you can also rent a car at the Mexico City International Airport and drive to Atlangatepec. The route can be taken via the Mexico 136D and Mexico 136 highways.
