To reach Bakung in the Philippines, follow these steps: 1. Book a flight to Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. You can find numerous international flights that connect to Manila from various destinations around the world. 2. Upon arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, proceed through immigration and collect your luggage. 3. Exit the airport and head to the transportation area. You can choose between various modes of transportation, such as taxis, ride-sharing services, or airport shuttles, to reach your next destination. 4. From Manila, you have two options to reach Bakung: a) By Air: If you prefer a quicker option, book a domestic flight from Manila to Kalibo International Airport or Caticlan Airport. Both airports serve as gateways to Boracay Island, which is near Bakung. Once you arrive at either of these airports, proceed to the next step. b) By Land and Sea: If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take a combination of land and sea transportation. From Manila, take a bus or private vehicle to Batangas Pier, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive. At Batangas Pier, board a ferry or a fast craft that will take you to Caticlan Jetty Port. From Caticlan Jetty Port, proceed to the next step. 5. From either Kalibo International Airport or Caticlan Jetty Port, you need to reach Caticlan Jetty Port for the final leg of the journey. 6. At Caticlan Jetty Port, purchase a boat ticket for the ferry that will take you to Boracay Island. The boat ride usually takes around 10-20 minutes. 7. Once you arrive at Boracay Island, you can find various modes of transportation, such as tricycles or e-trikes, that will take you to Bakung. Bakung is a barangay (village) located on the eastern side of Boracay Island. 8.
