Dunmore is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, approximately 5 miles from Scranton, the largest city in the county. The area was initially settled in the late 18th century and was incorporated as a borough in 1862. The community is named after Dunmore Park, the estate of Earl of Dunmore, a British nobleman.

Dunmore is known for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities. The borough is situated in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains and is close to Lackawanna State Park, which offers hiking, fishing, and camping.
