Ifs

Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) are a set of rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) which are used in international commercial transactions. These rules help to clarify the obligations and responsibilities of the buyer and seller with regard to the delivery of goods. In the case of IFS (Incoterms Free Carrier), it is one of the most commonly used shipping terms in France.

IFS requires the seller to deliver the goods to a carrier or another person nominated by the buyer, at a named place of delivery. The named place of delivery can either be the seller's premises, a terminal, a port, or some other location mutually agreed upon by both parties. This means that the seller is responsible for clearing the goods for export, but not for loading them onto the carrier.

Once the goods are delivered to the carrier, the risk and responsibility of the goods shifts to the buyer. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with the transportation of the goods from the named place of delivery to the final destination.
