Kadiri

Kadiri is a town located in the Anantapur district of the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Situated on the banks of the Penner River, it is surrounded by picturesque hills and lush green fields. One of the prominent attractions in Kadiri is the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. Believed to be built in the 17th century, this temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The highlight of the temple is the massive idol of Lord Narasimha, which is carved out of a single stone and stands at a height of 6 feet. The temple is frequently visited by devotees, especially during the annual Brahmotsavam festival held in March.

Kadiri is also famous for its natural beauty and scenic spots. One such destination is the Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna. The sanctuary is particularly known for its population of the Great Indian Bustard, a critically endangered bird species.
