Lwengo

Lwengo is a district located in the Central Region of Uganda. It is situated approximately 130 kilometers southwest of the capital city, Kampala. The district is bordered by Sembabule District to the west, Bukomansimbi District to the north, Lyantonde District to the east, and Rakai District to the south.

Lwengo district covers an area of about 1,019 square kilometers, and it is predominantly a rural area with a few trading centers and small towns. The district is home to a diverse population, consisting mainly of the Baganda ethnic group, who are the largest tribe in the country. Luganda, the language spoken by the Baganda, is the widely spoken language in Lwengo.
