Marcus Hook is a borough located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated along the Delaware River, about 10 miles southwest of Philadelphia. The borough covers a total area of 1.6 square miles, with a population of approximately 2,400 people.

The history of Marcus Hook dates back to the early 17th century when Dutch and Swedish settlers arrived in the area. It was originally named Chammassungh, meaning "pleasant valley" in the Lenape Native American language. In 1642, the area came under British control and was renamed Marcus Hook after a prominent Swedish settler, Marcus Jacobsen. Throughout its history, Marcus Hook has been a significant transportation hub due to its strategic location along the Delaware River.
