Pianiga, Italy

Pianiga is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Venice in the Italian region Veneto, located about 20 kilometres (12 miles) southwest of Venice. The town occupies an area of 17.3 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 10,000 people.

Pianiga is known for its historical and cultural significance. It has the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, a beautiful church that dates back to the 11th century. The church is adorned with frescoes that were painted by noted Italian artists of the time.

The town of Pianiga was also an important center of agriculture and trade during the Renaissance period.
