Sinsicap

Sinsicap Peru is a small village located in the district of Taraco, in the province of Huancané, in the Puno region of Peru. Situated at an altitude of approximately 4,700 meters above sea level, Sinsicap is nestled in the highlands of the Andes Mountains. The village is known for its breathtaking landscapes, including picturesque rolling hills, pristine lakes, and snow-capped mountains, which attract nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers from around the world.

The community of Sinsicap is predominantly made up of local Quechua-speaking farmers who practice traditional agriculture. The village's economy relies heavily on subsistence farming, with locals cultivating crops such as potatoes, quinoa, corn, and barley. The region's fertile soil and cool climate provide ideal conditions for these crops to thrive. In addition to farming, some residents of Sinsicap also engage in livestock rearing, primarily raising sheep and llamas for their wool, meat, and transportation purposes.

Despite its remote location, the village of Sinsicap has managed to maintain its rich cultural heritage through its traditional customs, indigenous festivals, and ancestral practices. The locals take great pride in their Quechua roots and preserve their traditions through various cultural activities.
